The Howard County Department of Public Works has curbside recycling bins available now for residents. The bins are just $5.00 each and residents may purchase more than one if they wish.

Remember that commingle (cans, jars and bottles) should be placed in one container and paper should be placed in a separate container, or placed on the ground in a paper bag or tied with string. Please do not mix paper, cans, jars and bottles in the same bin.

To purchase a bin, please visit the Alpha Ridge Landfill or the Gateway Building at 6751 Columbia Gateway Drive. For more information, please call (410) 313-SORT.

Snowplow Tracker:  During snow events, this interactive map shows snow removal progress. To locate the Heritage Woods quadrant count four squares in from the bottom right corner, then count four squares up or, locate column 9, row 9.

Residents are asked to clear walkways and fire hydrants of snow. Please shovel snow into yards and not into the street. Help your neighbors and check on the elderly and disabled. If you drive, please remove all snow from your vehicle before starting out.
