Your elected Board of Directors of the Heritage Woods Association, Inc., in conjunction with the Association's legal counsel, have been working for the past sixteen months on rewriting a version of the Heritage Woods Association Covenants that will bring the nearly thirty year old document up to date.  The primary changes include removing language that refers to the original developers, updating various sections to meet current state and county legal requirements and revised language related to annual dues.  In addition, new language was included to provide the Association with greater flexibility to consider modern technologies and changing expectations for neighborhood aesthetics such as the use of solar panels and composite wood materials, both of which are not permitted under the current Covenants.  Attached below, and included in the Rules and Regulations section of the site you can find a draft version of the document for your review.  There will be an Association meeting on Wednesday, September 19 at 7p at the Ridgely's Run Community Center on Mission Road to publicly discuss the proposed Covenants and answer questions from the membership.  Members of the Board will also be around at the Block Party on September 8.  Questions of the Covenants should be directed to the Board via our website.
